LEADING Pakistani rock band Roxen are set to perform in Bahrain this October, organisers confirmed yesterday.
Ticket details and dates will soon be announced for the event due to take place at the Al Ahli Club, Zinj.
Roxen, which was formed in September 2004, features the talents of Mustafa, Jawad and Omar. The group came out with their first hit single Yaadein.
The video, directed by Xulfi, was also a huge success.
The melodious track with a fair proportion of rock appealed to thousands of the country's rock fans.
Roxen's unplugged track Tau phir aao was released over the Internet and registered over 65,000 downloads in one month.
After the addition of Haider, from Lahore's underground music scene, the band started working on their debut album at Xth Harmonic studio in October 2005.
The band also gained support for their track Sapnay, boosted in part by the success of the video directed by Ahmed Ali Butt.
Their debut album RED (Rozen-E-Dewar) was released last year and has been successful worldwide.
Roxen stepped into the glamour of Bollywood by contributing two tracks from their album to the big-budget Bollywood film Awarapan, directed by Mohit Suri.
DJ Suketu's remix of Tau Phir Aao is already making waves on Indian dance music charts, as is Tera Mera Rishta Purana.
