MANAMA: Full details about refunds for the DJ Tiesto concert, which failed to take place, will be announced soon.
Local events organiser PrimeTime Entertainment last night confirmed that details about refunds would be announced in two weeks.
Event organiser Ayman Al Hamad said that VIP and VVIP ticketholders' names were in the company's database and didn't require any proof of purchase of tickets.
He also confirmed that several of these ticketholders had agreed to memberships at local nightclubs in lieu of the refund of their tickets.
Normal ticketholders meanwhile, would be paid back based on photographic or video evidence of their presence at the concert in the absence of entry wristbands that were issued at the gate during the show last Wednesday.
"We will have to see the videos and pictures before we agree to refunding their tickets," Mr Al Hamad told the GDN.
He also said that he was considering negotiating with the Dutch DJ about a free concert to make up for the failed show at the Marina Club in Manama.
Ticketholders seeking refunds are being urged to register their names and contact the Tiesto Concert Official Refund Group page on the Facebook social networking website for more details.
