Karl is a Montreal-based singer, songwriter, producer, and musician.
He began his musical career "behind the scenes." He has written and produced for artists such as Gabrielle Destroismaisons, Mitsou, Quebec's Star Académie, Emily Bégin, and was a member of both Dubmatique and SKY.
He has participated as a songwriter, composer and producer on many multi platinum albums in Canada.
Word of his talent has spread quickly, with such stars as Justin Timberlake, Christina Milian and Mya all requesting that Karl send them material.
Karl was awarded a Felix Award in 2001 for "Best Mix and Sound of the Year" for his work on Gabrielle Destroismaisons' Etcetera.
He won a SOCAN award in 2004 for "Best Pop Song" for his work on Star Académie.
Face Behind the Face is his first solo album. He wrote all the songs and recorded the entire album himself.
Since its release, Face Behind the Face has broken in the Canadian Top 100 sales chart and spawned two hit singles, "Butterflies" and "Desensitize," with the latter track (featuring hip hop star Choclair) reaching the BDS Top 40 charts.
Face Behind The Face has been licensed internationally, and has made Karl Wolf an instant star in the Middle East. "Butterflies" was #1 on the Virgin Music Charts for 8 weeks during summer and "Summer Days" reached Top 10 status in the fall.
Karl opened for Mary J. Blige in Dubai in 2006, a moment he describes as the "pinnacle point of my career to date."
Karl was born in Lebanon but grew up in Dubai, UAE, and moved to Canada in his late teens.
No matter how great his musical wrap sheet is, you do not know the true Karl Wolf until you have seen him shine in his element: live on stage with his Fender Rhodes. His charisma, his talent and his energy are beyond compare.
In January 2007, Karl Wolf brings us his latest single, Butterflies featuring Eve, and his Winter Butterflies tour which will take him all across Quebec.
